GIORDANO IN_CONSCIOUS MEMORIES
Between 1589 and1600 Giordano Bruno, philosopher and Dominican friar, has been accused by the Inquisition of heresy and black magic and has then been imprisoned in the Vatican cells. It's from here on that we speculate about the possible encounter between the philosopher from Campaign and the young Dominican friar Tommaso Campanella, which some contemporary historians of the Hermeticism assume to have taken place. It's very likely that these two met since Campanella was also imprisoned in the Roman cells. Here Campanella had the chance to learn and understand Bruno's philosophy and thereby gained a more metaphysical vision of his own revolutionary ideas. An encounter with the past, which manifests signs of itself to the present. A past that comes out revealing all the power of the yet to be fully investigated philosophy of the revolutionary genius that was and is Giordano Bruno.

The Painting

She receives his painting and photographs in the post, as she looks through them she discovers who he really was and what she meant to him. A film that deals with themes of memories, generational differences (contrasting a life at home with a life outdoors), self-discovery and closure.
