'Home Movie' is the third short film from writer and director Neil Stacey. It follows thirteen year old Joey (played by Ryan Clarke) through a momentous day in his life. Shot on DVcam and Mini DV the camera becomes the centre of the film, offering Joey's point of view and a dialogue with his friend Billy (played by Conor Holland). A fast cut, stylised look mixes high contrast black, white and blue with heavily saturated colour images, all set to a pounding original electronic score written and performed by Duncan Tetlow. Home Movie, seeing is believing.
