Sharing the same feelings towards art, and attracted to each other's cultures, they become good friends. But culture and personality conflicts tear them apart and, unable to accept Leaf (Stephanie) as her lover, Meihua unwillingly decides to end their friendship and return to her home country. The shocking news that Leaf has passed away awakens Meihua's deep feelings for her friend, and it is from this moment that the film's story unfolds in an obscure, poetic way.
