THE BREAKDOWN - 35mm color, 18 min. (2006) THE BREAKDOWN is a short film with improvised dialogue that attempts to break the stereotypical barriers found within mainstream cinema. The film trails three teenagers from New Jersey who go out for a night of clubbing in New York, when they are suddenly mugged! They wander around the city for hours and in their desperation to find their way back home, tensions build up between them. They later find themselves in a dangerous situation, but when their plan starts to fall apart, one friend is abandoned! How will they get home? English & Spanish with subtitles

Last Day of December
A MAN TRIES TO RECONCILE A HARROWING TALE FROM HIS PAST AND CONFRONT OLD QUESTIONS THAT WILL KEEP ON HAUNTING HIM FOREVER. BUT WHAT WILL IT MEAN FOR THE PRESENT? After winning an HBO Development Award at Columbia University, this film was shot in Northern Romania on 35mm. With no film crew at all, Bogdan was also the director of photography on the shoot, performing the majority of other jobs on set: operator, assistant cameramen, loader, grip, production designer and so on. He also custom-built the dolly and job used on this project, which were a challenge to use in gruesome daily temperature averaging -5 Fahrenheit. He was the editor and sound designer of the film, which were done in New York. LAST DAY OF DECEMBER played in the Rotterdam Film Festival, Montreal World Film Festival, Palm Springs Short Film Festival, European Independent Film Festival (Paris, France) and won awards in Aarhus, Sedona and Rhode Island Film Festivals. It was also nominated for the National Board of Review Student Award.

The ROMEOS is a short documentary film about long relationships - good conversation amongst old friends. And we're talking old friends. The ROMEOs is an informal club of 5 old time New Yorkers, men aged 72-87, who have met every week for the past 20 years at the Metro Diner in New York City. It is a long lunch to talk about anything and everything; telling old jokes, making fun of each other, complaining about politics. Naturally they have nicknames: Mr. Indignant (his capacity for outrage knows no bounds), Mr. Google (this guy knows everything, you won't believe it), and The Token Goy. They are retired lawyers, writers and left-wing troublemakers and they are utterly hilarious without even trying.

This is what the conversation would be like if the guys from 'Diner' hung out 50 years after the movie.
