Waiting...This historical MicroDoc gives a glimpse into the difficulties faced by Palestinian children and their parents in the H2 section of the West Bank city of Hebron during extended periods of curfew in 2003, when contrary to UN regulations, children were regularly prevented from going to school by Israeli soldiers. In the ongoing Israeli/Palestinian conflict, it is easy to lose sight of the ways that the everyday lives of ordinary people can be disrupted. Shot largely on hidden camera to avoid confiscation by the soldiers, this film provides a window to just one aspect of children’s and parents’ lives under military occupation. |
