The Puppini Sisters - Jilted (dir. Alex de Campi)
It's handbags at dawn - or rather, pistols - as a jilted countess seeks revenge. Starring the Puppini Sisters. Made for a mere $4,000 total budget and shot on Super16. Paid for out of the band's own pocket without any involvement or support from their label. The amount of people who donated very valuable time, equipment and locations to make this project a success was truly astounding and heartwarming. Completed Feb '08. The director prays she will take home a Babelgum festival prize as then she could afford a secondhand 35mm camera to shoot her feature.

Flipron - Dogboy vs Monsters (dir. Alex de Campi)
Half-man half-puppy Dogboy is cruelly taunted by village kids when he falls for the Toff’s gorgeous Girl. But when the local mad scientist accidentally unleashes giant crustaceans on the surrounding countryside and the Toff runs away whining like a baby, it’s Dogboy! Versus Monsters! For the Village! For the Girl! And, um, for the dog. A fine music video product for Flipron.

Sergeant - Counting Down The Days
Fifes favourite sons Sergeant are back with the 1st single to be released on their own label Shy Recordings. Making a bold choice that embodies the true spirit of 'indie' music, Sergeant have rebelled against the confines of a major label existence, choosing instead to set up their own label. Inspired by the artists and attitude of seminal Scottish 1980s label Postcard Records (Orange Juice, Aztec Camera), Sergeant have also taken the very 21st century step of securing significant investment from a music fund to launch their label. Now in control of every aspect of their music, and with 3 sold out releases to date- K-Ok, Scottish limited release Swings & Roundabouts EP and Swiftly Does It - the Glenrothes foursome return full of vigour with one of the stand-out tracks from their live show. Counting Down The Days comes from their as-yet-untitled debut album, recorded at Rockfield, Rak and Abbey Road studios with legendary producer John Leckie (Stone Roses, Radiohead, The Verve). Having toured with the likes of Supergrass, The Fratellis and Oasis- at the request of Noel Gallagher they were sole support on the recent Scottish Arena tour- the band went on to woo crowds with headline shows across their native Scotland, selling out 1000 + capacity venues in the process and gathering widespread rave reviews along the way. Alan McGee heralded the band as the saviours of Scottish music in his Guardian Blog, and in summer 2009 Sergeant plan to bring their brand of jangly, pop-salvation south of the border too. Counting Down The Days is released 27th July on Shy Recordings with an album in the Autumn.
