Tenadi Co-operative Group, winner of the UNEP Sasakawa Prize 2006

The Tenadi Co-operative Group lead by Sidi El Moktar Waled has been awarded the 2006 Sasakawa Prize by the United Nations Environment Programme for their efforts to fight desertification in their local community of Tenadi Mauritania.
