Aqua Revival
The author goes into a dream on a journey through a strange and cold underwater world. This film is a metaphor of his dreams and desires. The sirens are dream images that accompanied him for a long time. They help him to find joy, harmony and love again. This sirens can be seen in strange ways. Seductive but also repulsive. The up and down of life. They give them self lasziv, or in unvarnished naturalness and they prove to be chimeras. The spectator witnessed at the end of the film, a small symbolic history. A symbol of the power of water as a mother of life, the spender of sensual pleasures, and as an element that kills. Klaus Behnisch and his Aqua Revival team employed so far with the artistic underwater photography. This film is a debut. Aqua Revival has developed a very specific style of underwater photography, which will remain also in the moving image. The plan in the future is not only to produce exclusive artistic work but also promotional films. I follow the siren`s call. Their pictures are metaphors of my obsessions. Water is omnipresent, blue, deep, mysterious, it sounds good, it is reassuring , it is worrying, it gives life and joy and it kills. Our work is supposed to please, stimulate, excite or even annoy and provoke the viewer . Sometimes even we are surprised from our pictures. We are convinced that humanity will be more and more confronted with the topics of water in the near future and its our aim to connect people thought our work with the element of Water. 500 million elephants - David Betteridge
I was given an open brief to make a film for an environmental conference. A low budget and fast turnaround lead to this idea - using the metaphor of time running out as a backdrop for the message. The 500 million elephants of the title refers to the weight of waste the world creates every year. Scary statistic.Shot with a EX1 sporting a Letus Extreme and a 105mm macro with variety of extension tubes and diopters. To find out more about David Betteridge, visit their profile Here. We're Mostly Made of Water (Music Video)
The epic music video for Kid Sam's We’re Mostly Made of Water is a hyper-real journey through a technicoloured Australian suburbia – where a children's birthday party, neighbourhood stoners and sad housewives, judo fighters, skateboarders and the off-duty ice cream man all have their place. Shot in two one-take-wonders displayed in split-screen, the piece generates disparate spatial connections, strange coincidences and a slight sense of deja vu. Directed by Sherwin Akbarzadeh - www.LightningStruckItself.com
