Sir David Attenborough studies the growth and reproduction of plants. This clip features amazing sped-up footage of brambles in a territory grab. One of the most aggressive woodland plants, the bramble thrusts ahead relentlessly, sometimes advancing as much as three inches in a day. Its spines give it the grip it needs to climb over almost anything that stands in its way.
