Attenborough's Private Life of Plants – Pitcher Plant

Sir David Attenborough studies the growth and reproduction of plants. Here he looks at the carnivorous pitcher plant and how it catches insects and even small rodents. The shape may vary from species to species but all attract their prey with nectar, have slippery sides so their visitors tumble into them, and contain fluid whose juices actively dissolve the bodies.
