Jerusalem: Between Heaven & Earth Part 2

The spiritual importance of Jerusalem to the world’s three major faiths is closely examined as we visit Jerusalem’s holiest sites with family members of the three different religious groups. Jerusalem is unique in its holiness. Christians pray for the peace of Jerusalem, Jews say ‘Next year in Jerusalem’ and Muslims are encouraged to make a pilgrimage to the place where Mohammad ascended to heaven and where the final Judgement Day will take place. It is the site of Mount Moriah, today the Dome of the Rock covers that place. For Jews this is the place where the Messiah will appear after the rebuilding of the Temple. For Christians it is the site where Jesus went to the Temple, where he was killed and resurrected and where he will return.
