Reuters: Church on wheels 26 October

The residents of Heuersdorf in eastern Germany have to leave their village to make way for open cast mining. But while they have to sacrifice their homes, they have saved their church by moving it wholesale twelve kilometres down the road to the town of Borna. And it's no easy task to move the building, complete with bells and altar, weighing in at around 750 tonnes. Joanna Partridge reports for Reuters
