Women are meant to create life, not to destroy it. But in Grischun, Switzerland, the number of women hunters has increased over the past few years. "Hunting in the mountains requires physical strength. It should be left to men", explains Peider Ratti. Only 1% of the 7,000 licensed hunters in Grischun are women. Liselu Frey, aka 'Hunter Grandmother', is the oldest huntress. "I am proud when I bring an animal home. To me, it's an intense feeling", explains one huntress. L'art brut
Until recently, "outsider art" - the creative output of the handicapped, psychotics or the criminally insane was a secret form of art. But that's all changing. "We want them to develop their personalities and abilities. Art is a therapy", explains instructor Klaud Mecherlein. L'art Brut or 'Outsider Art' is art entirely free from formal artistic rules. It challenges both how we tend to view such "outsiders" in our communities and our expectations of what art should be about.
