The river Mosel flows through France, Luxembourg and Germany. We are exploring the Mosel valley in Germany. The name of the river comes from the Latin name Mosella. The Mosel River is about 545 km long. Mosel Valley is renowned as the region of wine culture. The landscape along the river is mostly lined with vineyards, small towns and castles. The road along the river is a popular tourist holiday gateway.
