Milkcrate Athletics designer Aaron is inspired by authentic milkcrates. New York milkcrates are multi functional. While your everyday Joe Bloggs uses them as storage boxes, kids use them to shoot basketball and DJs stack their records in them. With the milkcrate symbol Aaron merges different sub cultures. In New York you can get Milkcrate Athletics at trendy store Alife. Alife is one of the coolest shops when it comes to streetwear. It has milkcrates latest collection of shirts, hats and bags. Aaron spins records under the name DJ Lacrate. He customises special milkcrate dj boxes. Customised boxes are sprayed by graffiti artists friends Futura, Stash, Ssur and Castus. The boxes are featured in the Wrecking the Box exhibition. Aaron recently founded the Milkcrate Athletic record label. The first collaborations are with Ayatollah, A.R.E. Weapons and Mark Ronson.
