With the friend off the scene, this paved the way for their love to blossom.These two fun characters don’t take life too seriously which is good since Andrew forgot Kate’s name at the alter on their wedding day! Though she did think his 45 minute comedy speech was taking things too far! Their friends agree that the couple vivacious personalities and a love of partying makes them the ideal couple.

Life for the Smarts started out as friends – but Tom found it hard to resist Sam’s charms and they started to date! Whilst travelling Tom and Sam got engaged on New Years Eve 2004, Tom popped the question as they stood by the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and of course Sam said yes! On travelling back to the UK they started to plan their dream-wedding day at the wonderfully romantic Babbington House.  Although the day was blissfully lovely a shadow of sorrow was present, as Sam’s father had recently passed away.

This over the top edition of Happy Ever After features a wedding with a flashing cake, a dress covered in 4000 Swarovski crystals and a horse drawn carriage complete with police escort. The piece de residence was that they used the actual carriage as featured on the showbiz wedding of Peter Andre & Jordan!

Soon into their relationship, they would embark on a holiday to Bulgaria which resulted in them moving there permenantly! Setting up home abroad and arranging a wedding back home in England was never going to be easy, but with their laid-back attitude and love of all things fun, they opted for a fancy dress wedding with the theme of Fairy Tales and Folklore. With the bride sporting a shocking pink wedding dress by day and transforming into Lady Dracula at night, this was going to be a day they’d never forget.

The only trouble was they lived over 8000miles from one another – this was truly the definition of a long distant relationship.
