Event: Fanexpo 2007
Ok, so we had a booth at the Fan Expo this year, and it was a pretty huge event. A This video feature kind of breaks from the format of Your Geek News and the BSGcast, since it pretty much sums up all of our exploits while we were there. Nat got an exclusive with Greg Pak, the writer behind the Battlestar Galactica comics, Matt had a chat with Malcolm McDowell about everything from Star Trek to Haloween, and, of course, with Tricia Helfer there, we made sure to get some info out of her about Season 4 and Razor during her Intimate & Interactive session! You'll love it! ~Matt + Nat

The Day The Earth Stood Still Preview
Remaking a 50's classic Sci-Fi film is a bit of an uphill battle after War of the Worlds disappointed us in 2005, but with Keanu as a convincing Space Alien, it looks like this one could be both topical and entertaining so far!

Quarantine Preview: Zombie Pov Fun!
It looks like Cloverfield and Diary of the Dead were only the beginning of our Point-of-View horror movies bringing back the glory days of the Blair Witch Project, because now this remake of a 2007 Spanish indie film [REC], is giving us more jostling, cameraman-loving, visceral reality scares. It's hard to say anything bad about any Zombie movie, since the genre runs the gamut from the brilliantly topical to the terribly stupid, and every film has at least one person out there to love it. Having said that, this seems like a cool premise for a movie on its own, so if we can stomach another ride on the cameraman's back, this could be a good one! ~Matt + Nat

Skinwalkers Preview: The Elusive Werewolf Genre
Recently we’ve had Cursed, the Underworlds, and you can kind of count Van Helsing, since there were some pretty amazing digital werewolves there. But none of them really stack up to the classics in the 80’s - American Werewolf in London and the Howling. Skinwalkers gives an interesting modern take on the Werewolf, using the most retro style possible: Man-in-Suit. With Max Evans (Jason Behr) from Roswell and Casey Jones (Elias Koteas) from the original Ninja Turtles film as the leads, and the effects pro from Terminator, Jurassic Park and Interview with a Vampire, Skinwalkers has all the ingredients to be a worthy successor to the Werewolf genre. ~Matt + Nat

Quarantine Review: Proper Terror This Season!
In an age where the Saw and Hostel type horror film has given up on scares in favour of gore, Quarantine delivers some genuine suspense and terror! This was definitely worth the price of admission! ~Matt + Nat

X-Files Review: Good. But Does Anyone Care?
It's been 10 years since the last X-Files movie, and more than 5 since it was on TV, but when Mulder and Scully hit the big screen on opening weekend in July 2008, less than one third of the fans from 1998 were there. So does anyone still care? ~Matt+Nat

Hulk Preview: Now With Added Incredible!
So, Ed Norton, William Hurt, Liv Tyler and Tim Roth? That sounds like a pretty amazing cast… even if they did already have a cast for the Hulk from Ang Lee’s 2003 go-round. Matt liked the first one and Nat is game for some Ed Norton. What about you?! ~Matt + Nat

Indiana Jones Preview: Still Got It?
With 18 years between Last Crusade and Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, there is some apprehension from die-hard Indy fans on this one... but after seeing what the Big Three have to say about this installment, we're pretty sold. What are your thoughts on this one? A long overdue chapter in the Indy series? Or a tacked-on cash grab happening too late to be good for a classic franchise? There’s definitely lots of opinion out there. ~Matt + Nat

Transformers 2 Review: It was...good? Unexpected.
Michael Bay stunned us. Not only was Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen an entertaining enough film to keep Nat’s attention for 150-long minutes, but Matt, (who RAILED against the 2007 film as a classic G1 80’s Transformers fan) actually enjoyed this one, too! The wounds from Bay’s painful re-imagining of the Transformers have healed in the last two years, and a Mute, Camaro Bumblebee doesn’t offend us quite as much as it used to. Maybe that’s what helped make this sequel SUCH an improved experience over the original! ~Matt+Nat
