Band of Horses in Road Trippin' With Ice Cream Man
One of the best things about being backstage at the festivals is all the free BEER and ICE CREAM. This episode turned out to be a little something special.... At Lollapolooza, Band of Horses took the idea of improvising one step further and put those well earned FREE beers to work in the form of a beer-bottle orchestra for a performance of an exclusive new track, “Modelo”. Amazing. More to dig at www.babelgum.com/icecreamman

Blind Pilot and The Builders and The Butchers in...
This episode closes our time at the Lollapalooza music fest, sad to see it go, but we got some great performances on the way out. We found a lovely spot off in the flower beds for an intimate performance with Portland folk band, Blind Pilot. With its wistful melodies and beautiful harmonies, they've been hailed as the new gem of the Pacific Northwest - home of such music as The Shins, Elliot Smith, and Neutral Milk Hotel. Formerly from Alaska, The Builders and The Butchers, found a place in the shade to woo us with their soulful Americana. All and all a nice farewell cheers to a weekend of great music! Song: Blind Pilot "Two Towns"; The Builders and The Butchers "Black Elevator". Check out more videos at babelgum.com/icecreamman

The Dodos and Fruit Bats in Road Trippin' With Ice...
What a week! One of the most beautiful in Ice Cream Man history. A staple of the Sub Pop indie music label, Fruit Bats, give us a last serenade as we wander down the west coast from Oregon to California. Anyone from this part of the country could tell you that you can't do this drive without doing two things on the way: river swimming and a wander through the redwoods. Matt does both. His 5 story rock dives can't be recommended to the faint of heart, but its sure fun to watch! Once in the bay, we met up with the ever-charming band, The Dodos for a performance that's sure to make anyone leave their heart in San Francisco. If you haven't heard this band yet, you're missing the boat . . .Check out more videos at babelgum.com/icecreamman
