Brompton World Championship 2009

An eccentric British event, the Brompton World Championship 2009 saw 600 competitors don formal attire (no lyrcra, please), then hop upon their sturdy folding Brompton bicycles for a rip-roaring race around Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire. No ordinary cycling event this, there were prizes for Best Dressed Male and Female, and competitors came from as far afield as South Korea and Switzerland to pledge their love for their folding bikes.
