theFilmakers - TRANSOCEANICA

As early as in 1964, Andy Warhol conceived new ways of portraying art through media. During his "screen tests", he would ask factory visitors who had potential "star" quality to be seated in front of a tripod mounted camera, be as still as possible and not even blink while the camera was running. 45 years later, we paid tribute to his vision by inviting 20 professionals, including actors, directors, skaters, dancers, choreographers and other emerging talents from the European film scene in Vienna, to shoot a special casting session and give birth to "TRANSOCEANICA", video opener of theFILMAKERS' Music Live Show. Project "MUSIC4AFILM" by Metaxa Productions is an ambitious vision that joined in 2009 emerging film-makers from all over Europe (London, Vienna, Milan, Amsterdam, Krakow, Barcelona) to produce short movies & music videos for "theFILMAKERS" Rock Band, on an ecleptic trait d'union between movie-making and music.
