Documentation of two installation pieces by Australian collaborators, glass installation artist Ruth Allen and performer/sound artist Marianthe Loucataris which have been further developed to create a film collage music clip. The first, 4D, was designed for The Frankston Arts Centre in the outer suburbs of Melbourne. It was in a window box exhibition space on a busy main road, in plain view of the car centered culture who drove past. The movement performance with a “resonating vessel” was for opening night of an installation 4D2 at The Canberra Glass Works and part of the same Synergetic Series which explores the work of visionary and environmentalist Buckminster fuller. The documentation for these projects have been overlayed with ancient images exploring the relationship between gender identities, power, the destruction and sale of the earths resources and the ongoing sexualisation and commodification of women. These images and themes are all explored within the context of a video for a song ‘Jack’ which uses the story of Adam’s first wife “Lilith” to explore these same issues. The song is from Marianthe Loucataris’ song project Mahri Autumn from her soon to be releases album Ri-solv mixed by Brian Siskind in NYC. www.mariantheloucataris.com www.mahriautumn.com www.ruthallen.com.au
