CLASH OF THE TITANS REVIEW: Source Material, Anyone?
Director Louis Leterrier definitely brought to life an epic tale of gods and men, with huge stakes, massive monsters, and some great big actors. But if it's faithfulness to the 1981 movie you're looking for, or faithfulness to the legend of Perseus, or even a good 3D visual experience, Clash of the Titans is going to let you down. We enjoyed the hell out of it on some levels, and yet were left feeling completely empty on others. What did you think?~Matt + Nat

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET REVIEW: A New, New Nightmare?
Jackie Earle Haley dons Englund's signature fedora, claws and stylish Christmas sweater to terrorize the dreams of the sexy teenagers of Elm Street. The only problem is that this Nightmare reboot seems more pre-occupied with being a shot-for-shot remake of Wes Craven's original than it is at just being a good scary movie. The result is a bit bland, leaving us wondering if this movie is made for people who LOVE the original so much they'll watch any Freddy? Or is it for people who have no idea how scary Freddy should be? ~Matt + Nat

KICK-ASS REVIEW: Brutal, Bloody, Brilliant
We couldn't have been more blown away by Kick-Ass. A top-notch story, great performances, incredible humour and a surprisingly meaty film-going experience were disguised as a goofy superhero comedy by Lionsgate's one-dimensional advertizing campaign. If you haven't seen Kick-Ass, and you can take some gruesome violence and potty-mouthed humour, you owe yourself a night out at the movies to let Matthew Vaughn and Mark Millar Kick your Ass! ~Matt + Nat

SHERLOCK HOLMES REVIEW: A Modern Period Piece
Guy Ritchie certainly did not let directing a period piece take away from his signature style and flair, because somehow he's made a historical film feel relevant and modern to today. With a magnificent cast, amazing characters and a story worthy of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle himself, Guy Ritchie's Sherlock is a new incarnation that will make Downey at home in the ranks of Michael Caine, Chistopher Plummer and Peter O'Toole.

WHERE THE WILD THINGS ARE PREVIEW: Sendak + Jonze...
Watch scenes from the movie and interviews with the cast and crew! It's taken decades to finally happen, but Maurice Sendak's beloved children's book, Where the Wild Things Are has finally been adapted to the silver screen. The only thing less predictable is that the director who would accomplish this feat is Spike Jonze! With a history of wild music videos and MTV's Jackass under his belt, he'd seem an unlikely choice, but he's been friends with Sendak for years and after plenty of buzz about re-fanging the controversial 60's book for a modern audience, this creature effect driven story about childhood is finally ready!~Matt+Nat

2012 PREVIEW: Mayhem and Carnage Straight Up
When Roland Emmerich destroys the world, he does it with a certain panache. Independence Day, Godzilla, Day After Tomorrow are some of his previous epic disaster movies and 2012 looks to be kicking it up yet again. With an off-beat cast including genre favourites like John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Woody Harrelson, the Mayan doomsday is compounded by a government conspiracy and some of the biggest scale earth-ending images we've ever seen. ~Matt+Nat

BOOK OF ELI REVIEW: Rewatch!
The Hughes Brothers may have delivered us a familiar "by the book" post-apocalyptic world, the story certainly took some unexpected turns to the point that The Book of Eli may just have a "Sixth Sense" need for a rewatch! Just keep your eye on Denzel in some of the clips in this review!

AVATAR REVIEW: Ho... Lee... Frak.
James Cameron definitely made the most of nearly 15 years and 300 Million dollars making Avatar, because it looks and feels completely unlike any movie ever. Maybe it's the tasteful use of 3D technology, maybe the striking resemblance the CG characters have to their human actor equivalents, or maybe it was the fact that an entirely computer generated world actually felt REAL for the first time ever, but Avatar definitely knocked us both out... what about you?~Matt+Nat
