Four girls -- The Leader, The Cynic, The Believer and the Observer -- sit around a host of candles one night, practising witchcraft. The Cynic, however, is doubtful of the results. When The Leader coerces her into casting a spell that threatens The Believer, tension rises between the faithless and the faithful.

Kino Otokonoko
Loosely based on the Pinocchio story by Carlo Collodi, Kino Otokonoko tells the story of a young woman who wakes in the aftermath of her fathers death from a series of strange dreams, only to discover she is in fact the product of her lonely father's desire to build a daughter from wood. As Ki struggles to come to terms with this new-found self-awareness she realizes that although she might be different to everyone around her, she was borne of love and loneliness, giving her existence the same weight as every other person in the world.
