Taste Of Sin – Adam Dean
This was the product of three or four months of solid labour. It was the end to my third and final A-level art project, based around Frank Miller's 'Sin City.' I played the part of director, script writer, voice actor, editor and producer all in one! The two character were played by a couple of guys from my school - Paul and Josh. Subject #164
Filmed in the early 60s, this laboratory documentary follows a newly discovered and apparently unintelligent Neanderthal human-like specimen which is found, through testing, to have amazing logic-solving intelligence. We observe the progress of 'Subject #164' over a period of approximately three years as scientists document its behaviour and progress, until in the end it is exhaustively tested to death.

One of Many
You know who you are and that feels good but part of you tells you to keep pushing forward. So you invent, you struggle, then you hesitate. Do I really want to get out of where I am? You can see it’s not out of reach and that keeps you thinking and challenging yourself, because there’s such joy in discovery. There’s joy in the “now” and just reaching for new levels. Explore the nature of exploration and how it is tied to self discovery. Our three minute film is about overriding the inner critics and using them at the same time to move onwards. In the end no matter where we get to, it is the process of taking the path and discovering the now which may be the most important and revelatory aspects of our journeys.
