Flashmobs may come, and flashmobs may go, but the creative work of IMPROV EVERYWHERE endures on video. Pranksters, tricksters, imps—call them what you will, they devise ingenious stunts that confound onlookers and cause what they describe as, “scenes of chaos and joy in public places.”

The 5-piece from Orange County, who will release their self-titled debut album in May, produced with Joe Chiccarelli (White Stripes, Raconteurs, My Morning Jacket). The band are currently on their way down to Austin where they’ll play string of showcases at SXSW including Fader Fort and Billboard, and are hotly tipped by Spin as key ones to watch at this year’s festival. To support the UK release of their debut single ‘Apartment’ last month the band flew in for a hectic run of 4 London shows in 1 week and we have a short film from their time over here. The footage includes an interview with lead singer Sameer Gadhia, clips from their Music Week showcase and a few sessions that they did, along with behind-the-scenes footage of their trip, which was their first time in London.
Did you love the movie Valentine’s Day? Now there’s another film for lovers—of beer:

Watch “The Hat That Ate New York” from The New York Times about this ubiquitous hipster headgear. It started with Sinatra and the Rat Pack and now graces the heads of Anthony Mackie, John Slattery, and Terrence Stamp in “The Adjustment Bureau.” Pretty soon people are going to start naming their kids Fedora.
It’s Mardi Gras and Spring Break season and girls can’t stop whipping off their tops. Don’t let this happen to you, your girlfriend, or your daughter. There is help. See this important message…
Watch John Sayles’ sci-fi comic drama set in New York. Brother, a freedom-seeking slave from another solar system, crash lands in the Big Apple and makes his way to Harlem. Best line comes from Fisher Stevens as a subway-riding magician: “Want to see me make all the white people disappear?” Watch the whole movie now.
‘It Was Never Gonna Turn Out Too Good’ is a track featured on CONTENT, the first album by Gang of Four in 16 years. No, they haven’t lost their edge. Watch now.
