Freak of Nature: Blood Squirting Lizard

Regal horned lizards have an unusual self-defense tactic. The lizards live in the Sonoran Desert in Mexico and primarily feed on ants with their sticky tongues. Coyotes are hungry predators of the regal horned lizards. When under attack, the lizards are able to squirt streams of blood from their eyes to repel attackers.
