Vice Versus - The Latebirds Moped Gang
They are the self-proclaimed toughest moped gang ever to come out of Richmond, VA. They are artists, would-be novelists, bike messengers, stylists, a mortician and the intermittently employed; these big beardy burly men have turned riding and restoring vintage 1970s mopeds into a lifestyle. Not the usual Harley fans that one might expect from a biker gang!

Birds on the Wires
Reading a newspaper, I saw a picture of birds on the electric wires. I cut out the photo and decided to make a song, using the exact location of the birds as notes (no Photoshop edit). I knew it wasn't the most original idea in the universe. I was just curious to hear what melody the birds were creating. I sent the music to the photographer, Paulo Pinto, who I Googled on the internet. He told his editor, who told a reporter and the story ended up as an interview in the very same newspaper. Soon after that, it was a huge hit over the internet, with thousands of view all over the world. I then posted a short video made with the photo, the music and the score (composed by the birds). It became a huge hit on the internet, with thousands of view all over the world. Music made with Logic. Video made with After Effects. The newspaper story about my work (proof that I didn't photoshoped the photo: tinyurl.com/l4qdbg

Banksy's Animatronic Pet Store
Some of Banksy's strangest work: hot dogs, salamis and other reconstituted meat products fill the aquariums at Banksy's pop-up show in Leake Street, London, to accompany the UK release of Exit Through the Gift Shop. The exhibition is now closed, and it is not known when we may next get a peep at the pets.

New in New York Ep 9: Bollywood
Just when I thought I'd seen every dance craze that could possibly hit New York City, another one has come along: Bollywood. Based on India's version of Hollywood, Bollywood is a term for musical films that are a big part of Indian culture. With lots of color and energetic dance, Bollywood films are nothing short of specatular. So I thought I'd check out the craze for myself by taking a Bollywood dance class at Dhoonya Dance Studios in Manhattan.

ENGLISH, Action against urban speculation on Historic neighborhood of Barcelona. Concret mutant areas. Free speech for the neighbours.

Vice Versus - Wham City
Baltimore is quickly becoming one of the most exciting cities in North America. As rent prices and unemployment rates increase in Los Angeles and New York, more and more artists are leaving the major cities and flocking to Baltimore. Although it’s typically known as the drug and murder capital of the country, recently portrayed in “The Wireâ€, Baltimore is taking over the music scene. At the center of this is Dan Deacon and Wham City.

James Kalm parks his bike and slogs through a late-winter blizzard to partake in the opening of this double show featuring two of contemporary paintings most exciting practitioners. Joe Bradley employs the trappings of high formalism, Minimalism and an austere vision leavened with a unique whimsy and humor, while we are presented with a chance to view some of the massive paintings that brought Chris Martin's work to the public's attention in the late '80s. The contrasting of these two sensibilities provides us a chance to witness the wide spectrum of today's painting practice.
