Banksy's Animatronic Pet Store
Some of Banksy's strangest work: hot dogs, salamis and other reconstituted meat products fill the aquariums at Banksy's pop-up show in Leake Street, London, to accompany the UK release of Exit Through the Gift Shop. The exhibition is now closed, and it is not known when we may next get a peep at the pets.

Vice Versus - Wham City
Baltimore is quickly becoming one of the most exciting cities in North America. As rent prices and unemployment rates increase in Los Angeles and New York, more and more artists are leaving the major cities and flocking to Baltimore. Although it’s typically known as the drug and murder capital of the country, recently portrayed in “The Wire”, Baltimore is taking over the music scene. At the center of this is Dan Deacon and Wham City.

BERLIN: Liquidrom
The liquidrom spa baths are situated under kreuzbergs tempodrom. stressed city souls can chill here in sauna, steam baths and heated open air pools. for the resting period visitors can lie on a bed under artificial moonlight and on top of original moonstones that are under the mattress. on the sound loungers electronic base tones are not only received through headphones but massage the whole body. at the liquid sound pool, changing djs play ambient beats every saturday evening. special underwater loudspeakers produce soundwaves in the salt water. the water is heated to body temperature. the best way to experience the underwater sounds is to float on your back and drift along. in this way the whole body becomes a hearing device for the music.

New in New York Ep 8: Free Market
As the recession continues to ravage people's pockets, New Yorkers are turning to more and more alternative methods of obtaining the means for survival. Bartering, even exchanges of good or services, dumpster diving, you name it: people are getting creative to survive. One group of anarchists have organized a monthly exchange called the Really Really Free Market, a place where no money changes hands and a good time is had by all. This month, The Resident from http://www.theresident.net went to check it out.

This England? - Rob Carter (Excerpt)
The basis for Rob Carter's video 'This England?' is a book called 'From the Pilot’s Seat'. It contains a nostalgic series of aerial photographs of England taken just after the end of World War II, along with poetic quotes chosen by the author (Cyril Murrell). The images give us the odd glimpse of the destruction and bankruptcy of the country at this time, but mainly focus on the romance of its historic and natural riches. This video attempts to literally bring a forgotten book back to life, taking the viewer on a continuous flight over the land and supplying a sense of the author’s feeling towards these places. With the use of stop-motion and digital animation some of the locations have been manipulated to include the artist’s comprehension and memory of his ‘homeland’. These moments range from the trivial to the sinister and suggest a sense of frailty in these picturesque scenes. It is an attempt for the artist to rationalize and depict his understanding of the place he comes from, as well as the enculturation of his parents. - 2007, b&w/color/sound, total running time: 9 mins 13 secs

James Kalm Frames NY: Outsider Art Fair 2010
James Kalm wheels his bike through midtown Manhattan traffic to visit this year’s iteration of the Outsiders Art Fair. With what appears to be fewer and fewer avenues for modernist progress, many avant artists are looking to the naïve or primitive for inspiration. Each year this fair brings fresh revelations and renewed acquaintance with some of the world’s hidden masters. Includes an interview with Bonnie Grossman about her discovery of the work of A.G. Rizzoli.
