Inspired by the novels CONFESSIONS OF A JANE AUSTEN ADDICT and RUDE AWAKENINGS OF A JANE AUSTEN ADDICT by best-selling author Laurie Viera Rigler, SEX AND THE AUSTEN GIRL was developed with Laurie by Gerber RIgler Producing and Executive Consulting and marks the first co-directing effort by executive producer-directors Brian Gerber and Thomas Rigler.

Featuring gorgeous cinematography by Roman Jakobi (second unit director of photography for UNKNOWN WHITE MALE, the upcoming Liam Neeson/Diane Kruger thriller), precision editing work of Deborah Zeitman (whose credits include the films of Peter Weir and Robert Greenwald documentaries), and stunning visual effects by Dave "The Rave" Emmendorfer.

.  She began her career in regional theatre, performing in theatres around the country and then in New York, at such theatres as Naked Angels, MCC, New York Stage, and Film and Manhattan Theatre Club, where she performed in the original production of John Patrick Shanley's  "Four Dogs and A Bone" for which she won the Theatre World Award.  She also was involved in the early days of the Shooting Gallery, where she did  the indie cult film "Laws of Gravity," opposite Edie Falco.  She then went on to work in series television and studio films, and her credits include:  "House," "Law & Order," "Numb3rs," "Sopranos," "Seinfeld," "National Treasure," and "Paper Man."
As a producer, she helped to produce the award-winning indie documentary "LUNA:Tell Me Do You Miss Me" and the indie feature musical, "Sunny & Share Love You."

“Bones,” and “CSI: Miami” and supporting roles in the feature films “Visioneers” with Zach Galifianakis, “Dark and Stormy Night,” and “A Christmas Carol,” starring Jim Carrey and directed by Robert Zemeckis.

Fay started her career as an actor at the tender age of eleven, when she landed a role in “The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking.” After working in TV in her native Britain, including a regular role on the cult series “Jupiter Moon” and guest spots on “Casualty,” “Game On,” and “The Ruth Rendell Mysteries,” Fay moved to America, where she was cast as Maria Marais in “The Power of One,” opposite Stephen Dorff, Sir John Geilgud, and Morgan Freeman. Mel Gibson’s directorial debut, “The Man Without A Face,” quickly followed, along with Sam Raimi’s “The Quick and the Dead,” starring Russell Crowe and Sharon Stone, and “Cops and Robbersons” opposite Chevy Chase and Dianne Wiest.

 In 1999 Fay was lucky enough to work with Stanley Kubrick on “Eyes Wide Shut” starring Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman, as “Sally.”  She is also proud of the odd fact that she has worked with Tom Berenger three times – all in Westerns.
